Tell us a bit about yourself!
I was born in Romania and at 26 I decided to join the cruise industry.  My plan was to be away for 1 year to travel the world and afterwards return to my freshly started law career. It turned out that 1 year became 12 years of traveling with hospitality as a work. I started onboard cruise ships, working in the restaurant department as a waitress. Shortly after, I transferred to guest service and worked myself up to department head Guest Service Manager. These were great years and I have a lot of good memories, work and customer service experience. One of the greatest things about this was obviously to meet lifetime friendships from all over the world. I loved the idea of hospitality and service and decided to follow the Postgraduate program with Les Roches Global Hospitality Education and specialize in International Hospitality and Hotel Management. This opened up a whole new career in luxury hotel industry, still at school I was selected in  to be part of a team opening a new 5-star hotel in Miami Beach. This is how I moved to Miami and started a new chapter in my life.

What inspired you to start Slogaway?
I felt I needed to express myself outside a set frame, and instead of working into materializing somebody else’s vision I chose the freedom to bring my own vision to life. I take great satisfaction and pride into seeing happy customers and the feeling of being part of making people happy. After moving to Miami and experiencing the 9 to 5 working schedule and long commutes, I realized how important it is to take advantage of the spare time with family and friends instead of spending that time running errands and doing chores around the house. The idea of Slogaway and Lifestyle Concierge came out of the desire of helping people to make the most out of their free time. As technology progresses there are less errands that need the help of an actual person, however a constant request from my clients was the help with cleaning. This is the most time consuming activity and this is where I could make a significant change. Now I can make a difference for others as well, this by creating jobs for other people that appreciates a flexible schedule and good living standards.
